Public Area #2
Situated just a short walk away from the previous square, sits this tranquil and innovative example of landscape architecture. A trickling sheet of water peacefully glides down a gradient, all water is believed to be pumped to and from the other squares water channels. Despite being a public area in description, a strong element of warmth and intimacy is noticeable. The space is divided into sections, allowing a general public audience to feel disconnected from each other and more attatched to the space in which they are experiencing. When on my visit, I witnessed a number of people praying within these privatised sections.

Perhaps these divisions are too imposing. The structures appear to be rather cumbersome and bold, eating up more space than they really should when acting as a barrier in essence, yet in contradiction one can see through the walls meshing with clarity. Nonetheless, time spent within this site was an enjoyable one.
